Planned Parenthood Takes an Ironic Stance — Slams Trump for Not Recognizing MS-13 as Humans

After President Donald Trump referred to MS-13 as “animals” on Wednesday, Planned Parenthood and its former president Cecile Richards ironically called him out for failing to recognize the violent gang members as humans.

“Immigrants are people,” the organization, which performed 321,384 abortions over this past year, tweeted. “They are our neighbors, our friends, and members of the Planned Parenthood family. One hateful man will never, ever speak for all of us.”

Richards also slammed the president, writing, “This moment calls for the President to do serious self-reflection.”

But the irony didn’t stop there.

Other leaders in the abortion industry also took to social media to blast President Trump’s words. NARAL, for example, accused him of “dehumanizing” rhetoric.

“Immigrants are human beings and vital members of our communities who deserve dignity and respect – not dehumanizing, racist rhetoric,” the pro-choice organization tweeted.

The criticism comes a day after the president made the remark during a roundtable discussion on California’s “sanctuary state” policies. At the time, a sheriff brought up the difficulty in deporting MS-13 members, to which President Trump said:

“We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. It’s crazy.”
