A Facebook post of a police officer and elderly woman is going viral due to his act of kindness.
Seth Kazz, the owner of a gas station in Michigan, took to Facebook to share a touching story. An old woman had entered the gas station and wanted to buy $3 worth of gas. However, a police officer saw the woman struggling with her walker and offered to help.
“After a few minutes of getting to know one another he realized she was really struggling and didn’t have any gas or money left,” said Kazz. “The $3 will only get her so far. He told her to hang tight- came inside and put her another $20 out of his pocket.”
The woman then opened up to the officer, saying that since her husband died, she has struggled to make ends meet. The gas station owner was extremely impressed with the officer and what he did for the woman.
“Nowadays there’s so much negativity towards police officers,” said Kazz. “No one respects them. We hear all the complaints and ‘bad’ stories. I’m not saying every officer is perfect, I’m sure some are at fault at times. We all make mistakes- but we should all respect, appreciate, and thank them for what they do.”
