President Donald Trump on Monday blasted London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s response to the most recent terror attacks in London, arguing his comments amount to a “pathetic excuse.”
“Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement. MSM is working hard to sell it,” Trump tweeted.

It was the second time Trump criticized Khan for telling citizens there’s “no reason to be alarmed.” On Sunday, he wrote:
“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”

But there appears to be more context to Khan’s “no reason to be alarmed” comment. Khan was actually referring to the increased presence of armed police, not the threat of terrorism, following the attacks.

Police say three terrorists ran down innocent pedestrians with a van on London Bridge before exiting the vehicle and going on a stabbing spree, killing seven people and injuring nearly 50 others. It’s the third terror attack in Britain in the last three months.
