President Trump Gets Standing Ovation While Defending ‘Innocent Human Life’ at National Prayer Breakfast

Fox News/YouTube

During the National Prayer Breakfast, President Donald Trump expanded on comments that he made during the State of the Union address and got a standing ovation from the crowd.

The president has been very outspoken about his pro-life beliefs and continued to speak out on them.

“We must build a culture that cherishes dignity and sanctity of innocent human life,” Trump said. “All children, born and unborn, are made in the holy image of God. Every life is sacred, and every soul is a precious gift from heaven.”

Trump also quoted The Bible as a way to support his beliefs and the comments got a standing ovation from the crowd.

“As the Lord says in Jeremiah, ‘before I formed you in the womb, I knew you – before you were born, I set you apart,’” Trump said.

Watch the moment below:

During the State of the Union, Trump slammed the recently passed New York laws that allow for late-term abortions:

“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments from birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world.”

At the Prayer Breakfast, the president encouraged prayer for the future of the country and for all children.

Watch his full remarks below:

“Today and every day let us pray for the future of our country, let us pray for courage to pursue justice, and wisdom to forge peace,” Trump said. “For a future where every child is warm, safe, in a loving home.”

Going by the agenda of the DNC, no person with a fully functioning brain should be a member and give legitimacy to this discriminatory organization.

Yes, join the RNC if you believe Mexico will pay for the wall that will keep you safe even if cartels can dig tunnels under it, can smuggle drugs and migrants thru legal ports of entry, & tourist can overstay their visa. Join the RNC if you want to believe… Read more »

Where is the brain trust that allowed you to believe Mexico was going to pay for the wall? That tax cuts pay for themselves after Reagan, George HW Bush, George W Bush and Gov Sam Brownback all proved they DON”T.

GEEZ!!! Mexico paying for the wall, AGAIN? You REPEAT that same line ad nauseam! Just WHERE do you come up with crap like I believe Mexico is gonna pay for the wall? You definitely live in “the dimension of imagination”.

LOL…I am so happy you claim to not believe Trump was ever going to get Mexico to pay for the wall. What is next? That you did not fall for the WALL would not be fencing? That a wall would stop illegal drugs from entering the country? Could I at… Read more »

How do you imagine daughters & wives of those at NPB feel knowing that their parent and/or husband are opposed to saving their life if it is threatened during pregnancy? Apparently women are considered simply a disposable vessel of the birth. Or do you think they realize that those at… Read more »

So you have no idea what you are objecting.WHY am I not surprised? Just for the experience of trying something new, READ the bill. Remember when FOX News claimed the ACA contained death panels? That the ACA was socialized medicine? The ACA would bring about the apocalypse? Obamacare was unconstitutional?… Read more »

You follow my comment with MORE ASSUMPTIONS. Good job! “So you have no idea what you are objecting.WHY am I not surprised? Just for the experience of trying something new, READ the bill”, let’s throw an insult in there, just for good measure. “unless you share with Screw AADD”, let’s… Read more »

“Obamacare was unconstitutional?” The government FORCING some to purchase a product or pay a penalty IS unconstitutional philly. PERIOD!!!

Ban, Which Supreme Court decision found it to be unconstitutional? Republicans twice argued that case before the SCOTUS and lost both times. The mandate was upheld 5-4 with Roberts voting to uphold it. Perhaps FOX has not corrected their reporting error, but a check of the decision can easily be… Read more »

Your sly comment about Fox will be taken as the insult it was meant to be. Just because john roberts says obamacare is constitutional does NOT mean I have to change MY OPINION about the law. It just means I have to live with it. I’m NOT a LEMMING like… Read more »

Ban, you are too smart to argue that your opinion need not be based upon facts. I get told here repeatedly that facts do not matter. Does it appear to you that I listen to them? You know better.

For you to actually think that it is constitutional for the government to FORCE people to do something shows your OWN lack of knowledge about The Constitution and what it is really about.

Does the Constitution protect the private owners of border property from eminent domain? Protect those who wish to freeload govt services from paying taxes or have their property confiscated? Protect those who do not wish to serve jury duty? Protect those who do not wish to abide by federal or… Read more »

So why do so many R’s wave the Constitution when they want the government to interfere in a woman’s right to end her pregnancy? To interfere when they want the gvt to step in and protect them from a gay couple having the same rights as a heterosexual couple? To… Read more »
