Focus on the Family — a Christian conservative organization – is hosting the “Alive From New York” event on Saturday filled with speeches from abortion survivors, music, and live 4-D ultrasounds.
The organization’s president, Jim Daly, told Fox News they hope that people “will look up to the screens and lift-up in prayer every abortion-minded woman.”
“They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, the picture of a baby is actually of inestimable worth. It’s a snapshot of the future and a million possibilities yet to come.”

Vice President Mike Pence took notice of the pro-life organizations’ efforts to spread the message about the “miracle of life,” tweeting on Saturday:
“As Democrat Governors in NY & VA advocate for late term abortion & even infanticide – & Democrats in Congress refuse to allow a vote on the Born-Alive bill – TODAY in Times Square an ultrasound will be shown for all to see, demonstrating the miracle of life.”
Earlier this year, the New York governor signed a late-term abortion bill, which allows an abortion up to the moment of birth if a women’s health is at risk. He later directed the One World Trade Center’s spire to be lite pink in celebration of its signing into law.

March for Life president Jeanne Mancini told Fox News that the 4-D ultrasounds “provide a window into the womb.” She added, “It’s always been my belief that showing life as it is in its inherent beauty is so attractive, and that’s what really changes people’s hearts and minds.”

“We wanted to make a statement. Gov. Cuomo has said something along the lines of pro-lifers aren’t welcome in New York,” Mancini said
“Well, here we are in Times Square, and life should be welcomed wherever we are, and from what we’ve heard pro-life New Yorkers are really appalled by this legislation, and they want to protect the dignity of the unborn and make their voices heard,” she added.

“Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world.”
The president also called on Congress to prohibit late-term abortion and “work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life.”
