Protesters Get Disrespectful at University Ben Shapiro Event With Chants Celebrating ‘Reagan’s Dead’

During a speaking event at Ohio State University, Ben Shapiro felt the rage of students who protested by shouting obscenities and chants about dead Republican leaders.

Shapiro was giving a speech as part of his campus lecture tour with Young America’s Foundation. Protesters stood outside the venue and their antics were caught on video.

Some protesters screamed “f**k Ben Shapiro,” and Shapiro had a humorous response when he was told about the protest.

“Apparently there are protesters outside shouting ‘f*** Ben Shapiro.’ To which I say, ‘No thanks, but I’m married,’” said Shapiro.

Many of the protesters also chanted things like “Reagan’s dead” and “John McCain’s dead.”

The protesters did not attempt to have a constructive conversation, choosing instead to yell out destructive words.

The Morrill Scholars Program’s at Ohio State sent out a message warning students of Shapiro’s event, encouraging students to find a “safe space” that they could escape to.

“Shapiro’s rhetoric has the potential to threaten the emotional and mental safety of much of the campus community. If you do not feel comfortable around a climate that will be created by Ben Shapiro’s presence, we encourage you to seek a safe environment for yourself. Knowing the hostile environment that can result from these kinds of events, we encourage you to seek an inclusive environment and reach out to talk with someone.”

However, it does not seem like any safe space was offered for attendees of Shapiro’s event, despite harassment from protesters.

Ben is one of the few “better” conservative shills, but he is just paid to be there to trigger reactions from both camps after which he and his followers claim some sort of “victory”. What a waste of time. Just leave him alone and don’t give him the attention that validates him. It worked with Milo.

I wish someone had had the wit to counter with the Ted Kennedy song (he’s dead too.)
My mother is old and my father dead
and my brother is dead and my brother is dead
and my brother is dead and my kid has one leg
and my wife is a drunk and my car doesn’t float.”
