It’s a public fact that the Bush family has mostly stayed out of 2016 after Jeb Bush exited the Republican primaries.
Neither of the two former presidents, George HW and George W, have endorsed Donald Trump, and Jeb has also remained silent.
“At age 91, President Bush is retired from politics,” a spokesman for Bush 41 told The Texas Tribune in May. “He came out of retirement to do a few things for Jeb, but those were the exceptions that proved the rule.”
But if a Kennedy is to be believed, George HW has decided who to vote for in his role as a “private citizen”.
According to Politico, Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, posted a picture on Facebook with the caption:
“The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”

Bush spokesman Jim McGrath is urging the media to slow its roll, saying it’s not clear how the former president intends to vote.
Those reporting how @GeorgeHWBush will vote this year, it's not clear anyone was there to verify KKT. Still checking, keep your powder dry.

McGrath added in a statement to The Guardian:
“The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in 50 days. He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim.”
So, will Bush hop off the fence and publicly endorse, or has someone gotten the story wrong?
