Active Shooter Reportedly at YouTube Headquarters in California

UPDATE [4/3/18, 5:31 p.m. ET]:

Police reportedly said the suspect died on the scene and had what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

While the motive is currently unknown, witnesses told KTVU that the shooter shot herself after shooting her boyfriend.

UPDATE [4/3/18, 4:51 p.m. ET]:

A law enforcement source reportedly said the shooter was a white, adult female and wore a headscarf, according to an ABC affiliate.

At least five people were injured, according to the Daily Mail.

Although the number of fatalities is unknown, a local hospital said it received patients from the shooting.

The campus has about 1,700 employees.

The video hosting platform YouTube reportedly has an active shooter situation at its headquarters in San Bruno, California.

Local outlet KRON said it received reports of an active shooter, and City Manager Connie Jackson said they received multiple 911 calls from the company. Jackson didn’t, however, disclose what the calls referenced.

Google reportedly said it was “coordinating with authorities and will provide official information here from Google and YouTube as it becomes available.”
