Republican Congresswoman Believes Bannon’s ‘Days Are Numbered’ in White House

Following the news earlier this week that White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon had been removed from the National Security Council, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtninen (R-FL) predicted this may mean that his time in the Trump administration is coming to an end.

Speaking to talk radio host Fernand Amandi on Friday, Politico reported that the GOP lawmaker said that it “would be welcome news for the nation” should Bannon be given the boot.

“I think his days are numbered in that administration,” she explained. “And I think profound changes will be coming.”

The congresswoman went on to say that besides a Bannon ouster, she foresees a “shakeup” in the administration in the near future. She further added that the former Breitbart News chief’s “views are not in line with our country.”

Following Bannon’s removal from the NSC, Vice President Mike Pence insisted that the move wasn’t a “demotion.” Meanwhile, reports have come out detailing a growing feud between Bannon and senior adviser (and Trump son-in-law) Jared Kushner.
