Speaking about the impeachment inquiry, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) blasted Pelosi at President Donald Trump’s rally on Wednesday in Lousiana saying, “I don’t mean any disrespect, but it must suck to be that dumb.”

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough blasted Kennedy on Thursday morning, “Yeah, he actually does mean disrespect, and he’s degraded himself.”

Additionally, he said Kennedy ruined his reputation for “a man who may be driven out of office.”

“Congratulations, you did it for a man who committed crimes. You did it for a man who may be driven out of office. You did it for a man who actually was willing to sell out the United States of America for some dirt on Joe Biden. You did it for a man who, again, has destroyed the conservative movement. Did it for a man that’s run-up national debt. Did it for a man that’s undercut NATO.

Scarborough continued, “Maybe the part of Louisiana you grew up in is part of different than the northwest part of Florida I grew up in, but I don’t know. In my neck of the woods, senator, parents don’t teach their sons to talk about women or men that way. But maybe you’re comfortable with that. Whatever goes.”

Twitter exploded with outrage over his comments:

Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown (D) told CNN’s John Berman he was surprised Kennedy made that comment adding, “I’m disappointed because I like John, and for him to say that about Nancy Pelosi is so off the mark.”
