RFK Jr. Wants to Swap Harris Endorsement for Role in Dem’s Administration: Report

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants to secure a position in an upcoming administration — and it appears it does not matter whose administration it is.

Kennedy, who currently is an independent presidential candidate, recently contacted Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign to set up a meeting.

He wanted to discuss dropping out of the race and endorsing her. In return, he’d get a role in her administration, Kennedy campaign official and a Democratic official told CNN.

Kennedy’s team approached Harris’ campaign last week, but a meeting never occurred.

Kennedy met with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump

at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

The same scenario played out — a role in the GOP administration for an endorsement.

Kennedy’s campaign also reached out to representatives of Ron Klain, former White House chief of staff for President Joe Biden. However , those attempts never materialized, the Kennedy campaign official said.

The campaign official Kennedy would be willing to drop out of the race for an opportunity to serve another way.

Stefanie Spear, Kennedy campaign spokesperson, said Kennedy “is willing to meet with leaders of both parties to discuss the possibility of a unity government.”

Kennedy’s outreach plan was first reported by the Washington Post.

It appears unlikely Harris will entertain his proposal.

“No one has any intention of negotiating with a MAGA-funded fringe candidate who has sought out a job with Donald Trump in exchange for an endorsement,” DNC spokesperson Matt Corridoni said in a statement to CNN.
