Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel claimed that Americans should support President Donald Trump during his trip overseas during an interview with Fox Business.
The Republican party chair claimed that the constant flow of negativity should stop while he is on a positive overseas trip.
“I just have a reminder for the media,” McDaniel said. “He’s your president, too. This is our president. This is our country. We’re celebrating the anniversary, 75 years of D-Day.”
She also pointed out that the country’s achievements could be praised and that negativity will do more harm than good.
As IJR News previously reported, Trump is on a state trip to the United Kingdom and is currently in Normandy to celebrate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
“To the men who sit behind me, and to the boys who rest in the field before me: Your example will never, ever grow old,” said Trump. “Your legend will never tire. And your spirit — brave, unyielding & true — will never die.”

McDaniel claimed that the president should be encouraged while overseas.
“This is a time where we should be celebrating our President, the great achievements of America,” said McDaniel. “And I don’t think the American people like this constant negativity. There are times when we should be lifting up our president, especially when he’s overseas.”
She also pointed out that the criticism doesn’t stop him from continuing to work.
“He’s trying so hard,” McDaniel said. “He’s never been given a break. But [criticism] doesn’t stop him. He keeps his foot on the gas.”
“He’s so positive,” McDaniel added, referencing Trump.
Trump has faced extensive criticism for policy decisions and for his bombastic behavior. However, he has gotten some praise from American media for his speech during the D-Day ceremonies in France on Thursday.
