Actress Rosie O’Donnell told TMZ that nothing would make her happier than to see Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) take down President Donald Trump in 2020.
On Monday, Harris announced that she is running to be the Democratic Party’s nominee for the 2020 presidential election. She joins several other candidates who have taken formal steps toward a presidential bid, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
This list doesn’t include several big names that have yet to officially enter the race, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), former Vice President Joe Biden, and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas).
O’Donnell told TMZ that she is still hoping Trump will be impeached before the 2020 election, but if he’s not, Harris is her top pick to take him on.

“[Trump] kicks anyone he can. Any minority group. Anyone who doesn’t look exactly like him, he devalues and abuses wantonly with impunity, and we need to get him out, and we need to start with articles of impeachment right away. […] I think Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris, there’s a bunch of women who are really strong out there. And Elizabeth Warren. I’m a huge supporter of hers as well. But nothing would make me happier than Kamala Harris, I gotta tell you.”
O’Donnell said she wants to see Harris take on Trump because of her ability to question people during Senate hearings. The actress claimed that Harris has a “large vocabulary” that she could use to take down Trump.
“To watch her question all of those senators with the kind of precision that she does. And she has an actual large vocabulary, unlike our president who says we had a great, great, great, great meeting,” O’Donnell said.
The feud between O’Donnell and Trump is not new. The two have verbally gone after each other for quite some time.
