A California hair salon owner is letting loose on California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) for his “liberal ideology” that’s “not working” amid a homeless crisis in the state.

Elizabeth Novak took to Twitter in a since-viral video on Friday to express her concerns and dissatisfaction with the state’s leadership and called for action from Newsom as she was forced to relocate her hair salon located in downtown Sacramento due to the escalating crisis.

“I want to know what are you going to do for us Californians?” she asked, in the video directed toward Newsom.

After 15 years at the location, Novak explained that when she would go to work, she would have to “clean up the poop and the pee off of my doorstep. I have to clean-up the syringes.” She continued:

“I have to politely ask the people who I care for — I care for these people that are homeless — to move their tents out of the way of the door to my business. I have to fight off people that push their way into my shop that are homeless and on drugs because you won’t arrest them for drug offenses. I have to apologize to my clients as to why they can’t get into my door because there’s somebody asleep there because they are not getting the help they need.”

The salon owner noted that police officers told her that they “want to do something and they can’t. You changed the laws.”

“So I want to know what you’re going to do for us, the ones that are unhappy?” she asked in the video.

“You want to make us a sanctuary state, you want to make it comfortable for everybody except for the people that work hard and have tried their hardest to get along in life and now we have to change that because of your laws.”

While she finds it “disheartening,” Novak told “Fox & Friends” on Monday that she “wouldn’t be relocating if it wasn’t for this issue.”

As IJR Red previously reported, while Newsom — an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump — previously blasted the president and his supporters, claiming they will go into the “waste bin of history,” the California governor has major problems in his own state.

According to Fox News, the homeless crisis is growing on the West Coast, including in the city of San Fransisco, where homelessness is up 17 percent from 2017, at 8,011.

Asked why state leaders can’t grasp control of this crisis, former Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) told Fox News there’s not enough affordable housing and “regulatory policies have allowed, if you will, people to camp on the streets, defecate on the streets, and stay on the streets.”

Additionally, the former Congressman noted that laws are “going against” law enforcement officials for dealing with this in “an intelligent, adult way.”

“We have a problem in California,” Issa said, adding, “It is not being solved.”

She well probably relocate to another state, and then continue to vote in the same idiotic pattern that destroyed California, contributing to the destruction of the new place. Like what is going on in Texas, Florida, etc, etc!

James,

Eventually they will run out of citizens who can pay taxes. Note that CA has over 1/3 of its citizens living below the poverty line.

I believe they’ll demand more federal subsidies. Funny how a state which is the world’s “6th” biggest economy still can’t rub two nickels together.

This is just sad for the young woman. Similar stories happened here in Portland, another insane Leftist enclave. My wife worked for a business (founded by hippies no less) that closed its downtown shop after 40+ years due to crime and the homeless. Schumacher Furs, in business for 150 years, closed as well due to protesters the police somehow could not control.

Once all the businesses and tourists leave I wonder how the cities of SF and Portland will fund their idiot policies? Woe to any working citizens still residing there.

Over 75% of SF’s homeless are from SF. Another 20% are from elsewhere in CA. (per a multi-year investigation by The Guardian). They did not account for illegals. Newsom fails to address the policies making housing unaffordable to most Californians, nor does he give a shi* about working, taxpaying citizens. “More taxes! Free stuff for illegals!” has been his battle cry. What does he care? He’s made money by being besties with a Getty heir (who funded him and most of his “businesses”.) Yet no Leftists will question him, Pelosi, Hollywood, etc. on their personal income inequality. If the inland… Read more »

Newsom has been in CA’s political *ahem* leadership for 22 years, prior to being Governor. He spent a lot of that time in SF, including council member and mayor. He gto his start under Willie “I tagged Kamallama Harris” Brown.

During his entire career homelessness has not only been enabled, but grown by factors of 10-12x. He even lied to blame TX for sending their homeless, which Politifact (neither conservative nor neutral) rated “pants on fire”. In truth, SF and CA tried bussing homeless out of state, but they eventually came back.

WHY don’t all the decent, law-abiding people move OUT of Mexifornia and back to the United States? Should leave plenty of room then for Newsome and his band of drug pushers, users, Illegal Alien’s and the Hollyweed millionaires who promised to be living in Canada after the 2016 election.
