Pelosi butted heads with President Donald Trump on Wednesday, as she accused him of being “engaged in a cover-up” in regards to the special counsel’s probe — which Trump swiped back saying, “I don’t do cover-ups.”
The speaker’s remark stirred anger and resulted in the president leaving their scheduled meeting on infrastructure, as he said they “can’t investigate and legislate simultaneously.” However, the House speaker doubled down, claiming the president had an “‘oh, poor baby’ point of view.”

The White House press secretary blasted Pelosi as she told reporters on Thursday, “Nancy Pelosi’s problem is that she’s totally lost control of her party.”
“She’s got the far-left wing telling her what to do, maybe some of the moderates that actually want to get something done, and she’s lost control,” Sanders continued, adding that the speaker needs to decide which direction to take.

“That’s kind of like dropping the nuclear bomb to come out and accuse somebody of committing a crime, and not having anything to back it up,” he said.
Pelosi is expected to speak with reporters on Thursday morning — where she will likely respond to her criticism of Trump.
Last month, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) called out Pelosi and House Democrats for their lack of legislation and harassment of the president, blasting their first 100 days in control as “defined by nothing but failure,” as IJR Red previously reported.
At the time, he listed off things that hadn’t been addressed with the necessary solutions: “failure to secure the border, failure on focusing on lowering healthcare cost, failure to end infanticide, failure to stand up to the anti-Semitism.”
