Savannah Guthrie returned to NBC’s “Today” on Monday wearing yellow — the color of optimism.

That has been the same emotion she has exhibited since her mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing Feb. 1. Savannah Guthrie had been absent from the show since.

But that all changed Monday.

“Good morning, welcome to ‘Today’ on this Monday morning. We are so glad you started your week with us, and it is good to be home,” Guthrie said.

“Here we go, ready or not, let’s do the news,” she added, as co-anchor Craig Melvin was by her side in more ways than one.

“So good to have you back,” he said.

Melvin wore a yellow tie and pin as a nod to the search for her mother.

Other NBC figures wore pins as well.

Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance was not mentioned at the top of the show.

Once Guthrie said she was happy to be home, “Today” did the news as usual. As the 7:30 a.m. ET hour kicked off and Guthrie noted the “love” from fans.

“Some beautiful signs out there,” Guthrie said of the crowd gathered at the plaza outside the show’s Rockefeller Center studio. Many held posters in support for her and Nancy.

“I’m excited to see them, give them all a hug,” she said. “I’ve been really feeling the love so much.”

Later, NBC’s Jenna Bush Hager told Guthrie she had given the show its “sunshine.”

Guthrie has been a co-anchor of “Today” since 2012.
