Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) post for Father’s Day did not go over well.
On Sunday, Schumer wrote on X, “Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we’re having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!”
He added, “Father’s Day Heaven!”
However, several users highlighted what they thought was an issue with the picture as it appeared he had placed cheese on a burger patty that had not been cooked.
Users quickly roasted the New York Democrat:
The post was later deleted.
In its place, Schumer wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!”
