Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer appears to have found his newest job as a “special D.C. correspondent” for ExtraTV.
Spicer’s role with the entertainment newsmagazine comes in the form of an interview with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife, Susan. In a promotional clip shared ahead of the Wednesday night interview, Spicer asks Pompeo the tough questions — like what’s on his iTunes playlists or his opinion of the contenders for the upcoming Oscars.
“He adores Queen,” Susan Pompeo tells Spicer. “We saw ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ first weekend.”
“Absolutely,” Pompeo chimes in.

The interview, set to air Wednesday evening, seems to be about as hard-hitting as one might expect of any interview with a former member of the Trump administration asking questions of a current member of the Trump administration.
According to a post on ExtraTV’s website, Spicer’s interview with Pompeo is just part of a larger series of interviews Spicer will conduct with his former colleagues:
“Extra’s” special correspondent Sean Spicer, the former White House Press Secretary, was given unprecedented access to current Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her husband Bryan, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife Susan, and counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, all of whom discussed their lives inside and outside of the White House.
Spicer has had a bit of a rough time after leaving the Trump White House. A press tour to promote a book about his short time in the White House saw Spicer pressed to answer for misstatements he made during his time as press secretary.
At a book tour stop in New York, Spicer was met by a heckler who loudly made the assembled audience aware of his thoughts on the former press secretary.
“Hey Sean, you’re a real piece of garbage,” the man yelled before being removed from the event.
The Daily Mail called Spicer’s book sales “abysmal” after it was walloped by sales for former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault Newman’s much spicier White House tell-all.
