Sen. Ron Johnson Tells Fox News There Is a ‘Secret Society’: ‘This Is Not a Distraction’

The investigation into anti-Trump activities within the FBI just keeps getting stranger and stranger — reassigned agents, vanishing text messages, and now, reports of a “secret society.”

The Daily Caller reported:

Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson told Fox News Tuesday that an “informant” confirms the existence of an anti-Trump “secret society” within the Department of Justice and FBI.

On Tuesday’s “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) dropped that bomb — claiming to have a source that had confirmed the existence of a group that had conducted “secret meetings offsite.”

“That secret society, we have an informant that’s talking about a group that was holding secret meetings offsite,” Johnson said. “There is so much smoke here, there is so much suspicion…”

Baier was clearly taken aback, calling an immediate halt to the conversation.

“Wait, wait, wait, stop there,” Baier said. “A secret society — secret meetings — offsite at the Justice Department? And you have an informant saying that?”

Johnson’s response was just one word: “Yes.”

Baier pressed for more, but Johnson explained that it was still an investigation in progress.

“We have to dig into it,” Johnson said. “That’s — this is not a distraction. This is bias, potentially corruption, at the highest levels of the FBI.”

Johnson went on to suggest that Mueller, who used to be the FBI director, would not be able to run an unbiased investigation into what was being uncovered.
