U.S. senators voiced bipartisan support on Tuesday for the expansion of domestic mining and minerals recycling, part of a push to jumpstart the country’s electric vehicle supply chain and offset China’s rising dominance in the fast-growing space.

“China is consolidating control of the entire supply chain for clean technologies,” Senator Lisa Murkowski, the Republican chair of the Senate’s Energy and Natural Resources Committee, said at a hearing. “The United States is falling behind … and allowing that to happening is a strategic mistake.”

James,

The problems/lies about “alternate energy” are myriad.

1. producing solar panels/wind generators (with rare-earth magnets made possible by political slaves) is that they are UNRELIABLE. Where are the batteries Obozo invested our tax dollars in? q.v. ABC and Solyndra.

2. solar and wind are NOT dense sources. You would need to carpet the entire US, including Teddy Kennedy’s Cape Cod view, SEVERAL times over and still would not meet the energy demands required. We won’t consider growth of energy demands that allow idiots like the Genital to get online.

Because China’s electricity generatoration is powered by unicorn farts (and their electric cars are ZERO emissions vehicles…wink…wink). NOT the coal fired power plants they are feverishly building.

NO!! Don’t you DARE look behind that curtain!!!

PS. Aren’t you folks from Alaska glad you voted for this idiot???

Maybe the United States could be the World’s leader in windmill powered vehicles. Our Category 2 hurricanes here in Florida would be of tremendous help heading North on I-75 and I-95. Heading South or on I-4, not so much. #morons.
