Singer Amy Grant was one of the biggest names in music during the early 1990s. The Georgia native got her start in Christian music, but quickly shot to the top of the charts when she shifted her sound to pop.
Amy always said that her daughter, Gloria Mills Chapman, was her biggest muse. Her daughter, who goes by Millie, was just just six months old when she inspired her mom’s hit 1991 song, “Baby, Baby.”

According to a Facebook post by her father, Gary Chapman, Millie went into surgery today for a very special reason. Along with a photo of his daughter, he wrote:
“This is my oldest daughter, Gloria Mills Chapman. Tomorrow morning she is donating a kidney to her best friend, Kathryn. They’ve know each other their entire lives and when Kathryn was in need, turns out Millie was a perfect match. I’m so proud of her, words fail me. Please say a prayer for them both and trust, with me, that they are in His hands.”

Millie, now 27 years old, is selflessly donating her kidney to her best friend, according to her father’s post. She went into the operation this morning, and her father has asked for prayers, reports Country Rebel.
Jenny Gill, daughter of country singer Vince Gill, said that she was in awe of the “true act of love” in a Facebook post. She wrote:
“This is my step sister Millie (right) and her best friend Kathryn (left). Millie is donating one of her kidneys to Kathryn tomorrow morning. A true act of love and I’m in awe of her.”

And called for love and prayers for Millie:
I’m asking for all your love, good thoughts and prayers for them both along with all the staff at the hospital who will be taking care of them. It’s hard to put into words how amazed I am by her kindness.”

Luckily, the surgery was a success. Millie’s father said on Facebook that she is currently on the road to recovery.
Millie is out of surgery and everything is looking good. She'll be hurting for awhile but healing is underway. Kat is in recovery as well. Thank you all for your prayers and kindness. God is good.
And if the number of comments on Facebook are any indication, she’ll have plenty of prayers and best wishes to keep her going.
