Left-wing organizations, including the Womenâs March, Indivisible, and the 50501 Movement, are preparing to âFree Americaâ over Independence Day weekend by organizing nationwide anti-Trump protests.
The âFree America Weekendâ protests will âFree America from arbitrary firings and a flood of unlawful orders,â according to the Womenâs March website. The organization plans to utilize ârallies, marches, block parties, banner drops, street parades, art builds, backyard BBQs, dance protests, and moreâ in order to âfree America from the grip of hate and the Politics of fear,â its website states.
The Womenâs March announced in an X post on June 27 Â that âprotest is the patriotic way to spend the 4th of July,â and encouraged people to join and âprotect democracy with joyful resistance.â Over 250 âFree Americaâ protests are scheduled for July 4 on the Womenâs March website.
Other left-wing organizations have also planned July 4 events, including a âNo Kings 2.0â protest backed by the left-wing group Indivisible. The group touted âINDEPENDENCE WITHOUT TYRANNYâ in its event announcement, and claimed that the protest âisnât about left vs. right,â itâs instead âthe people vs. power unchecked.â
Indivisibleâs announcement said that âNo Kings 2.0â will protest âauthoritarianism, corrupt leadership, racism, xenophobia, and injustice,â and âleaders above the law.â
Another July 4 event, organized in Florida by United+ and  Democratic Progressive Caucus, Inc., is a Twilight March and Candlelight Vigil to Mar-a-Lago, to âprotest against Trumpâs insane, cruel, kakistocracy and sadism (T.I.C.K.S.), and the outrageous and illegal behavior of his current Administration,â with âfamed BABY TRUMP BALLOON from London.â
These protests follow other leftist-funded anti-Trump protests of 2025 including the âNo Kingsâ protests on Flag Day, anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots in Los Angeles throughout June and âHands Off 2025â demonstrations against Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Recent anti-Trump protests have primarily been organized by the 50501 Movement, or the â50 states, 50 protests, one dayâ movement, according to Newsweek. The group calls itself a grassroots movement protesting Trump policies and executive orders, according to its website.
