Steve Buscemi, star of “Boardwalk Empire,” is reportedly OK after was punched in the face by an unknown assailant in Manhattan.

Buscemi, 66, was treated at a New York hospital for an injury to his left eye, including bruising, swelling and bleeding, per the Associated Press.

The New York Police Department released a statement about an assault Wednesday, but did not name the victim. On Sunday, one of Buscemi’s representatives confirmed the actor was the victim.

“Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city,” his publicist said in a statement. “He is OK and appreciates everyone’s well wishes.”

To date no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Another “Boardwalk Empire” star was assaulted in March.

A rock was thrown at Michael Stuhlbarg hit him in the back of the neck when he was in Manhattan’s Central Park.

The assailant was taken into custody after Stuhlbarg chased the perpetrator.
