Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Calls Cryptic Tweet a ‘Warning Shot’ to Anyone Associated With Trump

Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, called his cryptic tweet featuring a picture of a DVD a “warning shot” to President Donald Trump and anyone else who tries to lie about his client.

On Thursday, Avenatti tweeted a photo of a disc that presumably contains damning evidence of Daniels’ affair with Trump. He captioned the photo, “If ‘a picture is worth a thousand words,’ how many words is this worth?”

The tweet was released ahead of Daniels’ anticipated “60 Minutes” interview, which is set to air Sunday. Avenatti told CNN it wasn’t “teasing” anything but was evidence of the relationship.

He added that it was meant to be a signal to detractors of his client to be cautious about what they say.

“I want to be really clear about this: It is a warning shot,” he said. “And it’s a warning shot to Michael Cohen and anyone else associated with President Trump that they better be very, very careful after Sunday night relating to what they say about my client and what spin or lies they attempt to tell the American people.”

Avenatti said people haven’t been honest about the relationship or the “bullying tactics” Daniels alleged to have taken place. He said it was “time to come clean” and reiterated that the photo in his tweet was a “warning shot.”
