A confrontation at a college campus in Ohio has drawn attention after a student was caught on video damaging a political group’s display and shouting a disturbing remark tied to a past tragedy.

According to the New York Post, the incident unfolded Tuesday afternoon at Kent State University, where members of Turning Point USA had set up a booth in the student center plaza.

Video circulating online shows an unidentified student approaching the table before pulling out a pair of scissors and targeting the decorations.

Moments later, she began popping balloons arranged around the booth, while members of the group tried to intervene.

“No, thank you,” one female club member can be heard saying as she attempts to move the balloons out of reach.

“Whoa,” another bystander exclaims in the footage as the situation escalates.

As she continued to damage the display, the student shouted, “Go f**k yourselves, and you’re f**king neck gushers too,” according to the video.

The phrase appeared to reference the 2025 killing of Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University.

Kirk, 31 at the time of his death, had co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012 and helped grow it into a major organization focused on engaging young conservatives. He was killed after a gunman opened fire from a distance, authorities said.

Should the university take disciplinary action against the student for vandalizing the TPUSA booth?

Following his death, his wife, Erika Kirk, assumed leadership of the organization.

Turning Point USA says its student program “exists to educate young people about the importance of limited government, free markets, and freedom,” according to its website.

At Kent State, the confrontation appeared to unfold quickly, with the student aggressively popping balloons as others looked on.

University officials acknowledged the incident and confirmed that it is under review.

“Our police department is looking into this matter,” a spokesperson for the university said in a statement, adding that officials had also reached out to the campus group’s leadership.

No further details about the student involved have been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
