It’s Tebow Time: Tim Tebow Set To Return To NFL As A Philadelphia Eagle

Tim Tebow’s highly-anticipated return to the National Football League may be just around the corner.

The former University of Florida standout and Heisman trophy winner is expected to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, bringing him back to the NFL for the first time since the New England Patriots cut him at the end of their 2013 training camp.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer broke the news Sunday night via Twitter:

Tebow, who previously played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets, worked out with the Eagles at their training facility in Philadelphia last month, but left town unsigned.

His new contract is rumored to be a one-year deal, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

There are no guarantees that Tebow will make the Eagles’ final 53-man squad, however, as they already have several quarterbacks on their roster, including newly-acquired starter Sam Bradford, former Jets teammate Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley and C.J. Kinne.

The team is also expected to be a potential landing spot for Oregon’s Marcus Mariota in this year’s draft, a move that would reunite him with his former college coach, Chip Kelly.

Reaction to Tebow’s signing flooded Twitter:

Looks like Philly fans will be seeing a lot more of this on the sidelines in the near future:
