Newsweek reached a new low this week by calling the Trump women “horrifying” for wearing high heels.

Here is its draconian, macabre logic that says Trump women wearing heels will lead to sexual slavery for all women:

Feminists have long grappled with the high-heeled shoe, and whether the stiletto telegraphs power (sexual or otherwise) or self-hobbled weakness. Stiletto pumps are the ultimate test of a certain type of femininity. They signal the taut combination of power and weakness that conservative women must cultivate in order to survive among ideologues who are crafting our tax-free “Handmaid's Tale” future.

In-depth Independent Journal Review research, however, reveals that the Trump women are not the first women to wear heels in the White House.

The odd condemnation-turned-insult of Trump women fashion was oddly never applied to our former first family. These shocking images below of Michelle Obama, normalizing heels for working women in the Obama era, surely also added to the “Handmaid's Tale” future of our country, correct?

How could she?
