This past Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia, white supremacist James A. Fields Jr. drove his Dodge Challenger into a group of counter protesters, injuring 19 and killing one.

The person who was killed was 32-year-old paralegal and activist, Heather Heyer.

As for Fields, the 20-year-old has since been charged with second-degree murder and now new information has been uncovered, painting an even more despicable picture of who Fields:

According to reports from the New York Daily News, a number of 911 calls released Monday show Fields was a Nazi-obsessed white nationalist who would regularly beat and threaten to kill his disabled mother, Samantha Bloom.

In 2010, police were called after Fields reportedly hit his mother in the head and locked her in the bathroom when she told him to stop playing video games.

The following year, Fields threatened to kill his mother with a 12-inch knife, the New York Daily News reported.

It has also been previously reported by a teacher who knew Fields that in his early years, he was infatuated with Nazis and Adolf Hitler.

Fields is currently being held without bond and is awaiting trial.
