New York Fashion Week may be more than a week away, but on Friday night, the National Rifle Association kicked off the style season with a bang.

The Carry Guard Expo in Milwaukee gave attendees a first look at all things related to concealed carry — including a show to demonstrate how fashion meets firearms.

According to the Daily Mail, models took the runway to display products from about 30 companies that sell accessories designed for quick handgun access.

“The Fashion Show will showcase the [NRA Carry Guard] Expo’s top concealed carry products and demonstrate the features and benefits to an audience of firearm enthusiasts and industry media,” the New York Post reported a press release said ahead of the show.

The show featured a variety of models and products, including women with stylish purses who looked ready for work or dinner with friends:

And men with a more traditional look:

Savoy Leather showed off an American-themed holster designed with women in mind:

This is the first time the NRA has put on a fashion show to promote concealed carry and spokesman Jason Brown told the New York Post “we're going to pull out all the stops” to inform the public about firearm self-defense.
