Come November, it will be an entire year since Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election.
On that historic night, Clinton supporters filled the Javits Center in New York ready to celebrate the election of the first female president. Instead, their hopes were crushed as real estate mogul Donald Trump won the White House in an electoral landslide.
Tears streamed down the faces of Hillary fans, following the news that the glass ceiling wasn't going to shatter this time around:
Ten months later, some people still haven't gotten over the reality of Donald Trump being the president of the United States.
During an interview on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” Wednesday, New York Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor was asked about Hillary's new book “What Happened.” She shared a revealing detail about Hillary fans that she knows personally.
“I think the intention of the book was two things. One, it was to really, I think, just vent and get it out there because there are so many people like Hillary Clinton who are still writing about this, who are still thinking about this, who are still in therapy, frankly, sources that I know who are still really upset about the election.
And I think the other thing was to really lay out how — the way forward. The issue with that being that she’s going after Bernie Sanders and she’s saying in some ways that Bernie Sanders and other people that are supporters of him, that they need to join the party.
I think that while, yes, it might be problematic for the Democratic Party that she’s out there saying this, I think really what we’re seeing is a very clear picture of where the Democratic Party is."
Alcindor continued by saying that Clinton was the “embodiment” of everything that is still wrong with the “Democrat Party.”
