Trump Responds to Russia Dossier Being Funded by Clinton and DNC — And It's a Head-Turner

Before departing for a fundraiser in Texas, President Donald Trump addressed the report about the Russia dossier being funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

The dossier, which was compiled by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, made some major accusations against Trump. One part even accused him of performing lewd acts with prostitutes.

Hillary Clinton has yet to offer comment on the issue, but her former spokesperson, Brian Fallon, did just that. “I regret I didn't know about Christopher Steele's hiring pre-election. If I had, I would have volunteered to go to Europe and try to help him,” Fallon tweeted.

The president didn't mince words when asked about the dossier.

Trump said:

"With this fake dossier, it was made up. And I understand they paid a tremendous amount of money. And Hillary Clinton always denied it, the Democrats always denied it.

And now only because it's going to come out in a court case, they said yes they did it, they admitted it. And they're embarrassed by it. But I think it's a disgrace. It's just really a very sad commentary on politics in this country."

In response to the report from The Washington Post, the DNC said that its new leadership wasn't part of the funding effort of the document.
