Notorious murderer and cult leader Charles Mason may finally be staring into death's eyes.
According to reports from TMZ, the 83-year-old Manson was removed from the California State Prison in Corcoran and taken to a Bakersfield hospital after he suddenly fell ill.
Mason is currently being watched by a handful of police officers; however, as a source notes, it may not be much longer before he passes.
The source said to TMZ:
“It’s not going to get any better for him. It’s just a matter of time (until he finally dies).”
It's unclear what specifically brought Mason to the hospital.
Mason has been serving a life sentence for his heinous Los Angeles murder on Aug. 9-10, 1969, which lead to the death of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others.
