On Tuesday, the “Morning Joe” panel discussed what they see as behavior issues with President Donald Trump.
Talking to Donny Deutsch, Joe Scarborough said:
"I know you told me even after he got elected, you wrote him a really nice note. Said congratulations, really proud of you. Like you would, even though you voted against him.
Even though you were against him the whole time. You still reached out to him because you'd known him for a long time. Trying to show kindness and hope that maybe it was salvageable. But it's just not salvageable, is it?"
“No, and if you've been around mental health issues in your life ... And we should be very frightened right now.”
Deutsch continued, “At what point do you start to go to Article 25, because we, our well-being is at risk here.”
Article 25 of the U.S. Constitution discusses what happens if the president is removed from office. It reads, in part:
In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Going back to what the panel assumes is health issues with the president, Scarborough said:
“Was it put in a situation like this? It's hard to wonder. It's very complicated, but you do wonder.”
