Since October, rumors have been going around that President Donald Trump plans to replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
There have been reports that Tillerson has been at odds with Trump, even calling him a “moron.”
On Friday, CNN reported that the White House wanted to publicly shame the secretary of state.
CIA Director Mike Pompeo was the favorite to replace Tillerson, as previously reported by The New York Times. But it turns out that news isn't accurate, according to Trump.
The president responded to the reports via Twitter on Friday:
The media has been speculating that I fired Rex Tillerson or that he would be leaving soon - FAKE NEWS! He’s not leaving and while we disagree on certain subjects, (I call the final shots) we work well together and America is highly respected again!https://t.co/FrqiPLFJ1E

That settles that.
