On Friday, Lt. General Michael Flynn (Ret.) pleaded guilty to providing false statements to the FBI — the most significant news in the Russia probe yet.

There was a lot of reaction to the announcement. But the way “The View's” Joy Behar took the story received a lot of attention.

As the show returned from a commercial break, Behar started “welcoming” viewers back to the program. She was interrupted though, as a note card was put in her hands.

“Oh my God,” Behar said, holding the note card. “Oh, breaking news, ABC News's Brian Ross is reporting that Michael Flynn promised full cooperation to the Mueller team.” Behar's expression turned to one of shock, as she continued. “And is prepared to testify that, as a candidate, Donald Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians. Yes!”

Then she threw the note card in the air, smiling right into the camera. The audience responded with resounding applause.

The Washington Examiner's T. Becket Adams offered a poignant observation after seeing the clip of Behar.

“This video of Joy Behar cheering the Flynn news this morning is a good case study for how partisans disseminate information. She has only the smallest, most basic idea of what has happened, and she treats it as a game changer anyway. You wonder how 'fake news' spreads? Watch:,” Adams tweeted.

Joy Behar, everybody.
