President Donald Trump hasn't been terribly vocal about the ongoing investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

But since it was announced that former national security adviser Michael Flynn was being charged with lying to the FBI, the president has weighed in on several points.

First, he explained that the reason Flynn was being charged was the same reason he had ultimately been fired:

But just hours later, he offered another take, pointing out the glaring differences between the Mueller investigation and the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's emails:

He delivered one more attack, this one aimed directly at former FBI Director James Comey:

And then something came out that, to Trump, cleared everything up:
