Obama Takes Credit for Booming Economy, But Sanders Promptly Puts Him Right in His Place

President Donald Trump has frequently stated at rallies and on Twitter how the economy has boomed under his control.

However, former President Barack Obama doesn't think Trump is the reason for the economic boom. Instead, Obama is taking credit himself.

During a speech last Tuesday at a Chicago climate change summit, Obama said that his efforts to fight climate change were the reasons why “we saw the U.S. economy grow consistently.” He went on, "We saw the longest streak of job creation in American history by far — a streak that still continues, by the way.”

He then added some comedy and said, “Thanks Obama!”

Well now, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders is firing back at the former president on Twitter:


According to The Washington Times, the stock market has gained 30 percent in value since the election of Trump.
