The Republican tax bill has been viewed as very controversial since it became the biggest tax overhaul in 30 years. As expected, top Democratic leaders haven't been too happy.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) even claimed it was “the worst bill to ever come to the floor of the house,” as well as calling it the “worst bill in history.” She also claimed the bill was “Armageddon” and that it was “the end of the world.”

Pelosi stated during a press briefing on Wednesday that “it's an all-out looting of America.” She has also said that “at every stage, the GOP tax scam grows more generous for multinational corporations and more destructive toward American workers and middle-class families.”

She even said:

“This GOP tax scam is simply theft, monumental, brazen theft from the American middle class and from every person who aspires to reach it. The GOP tax scam is not a vote for an investment in growth or jobs.”

Well, now it looks like AT&T is proving just the opposite. In a company-wide email, AT&T announced it would be paying over 200,000 of their U.S. employees a $1,000 bonus “as added recognition for their dedication and hard work.” They also stated that “if the president signs the bill before Christmas, employees will receive the bonus over the holidays.”

Trump read out the email during a speech on Wednesday and stated, “That's because of what we did. That's pretty good. That's pretty good.”

Boeing also made a huge announcement: “$300M employee-related and charitable investment as a result of [tax reform] legislation to support our heroes, our homes and our future.”
