“President Oprah Winfrey” could be on the horizon.
Following her impassioned speech Sunday night at the Golden Globe Awards, CNN's Brian Stelter reported Winfrey is “actively thinking” about running against President Donald Trump in 2020:

Stelter said he heard of Winfrey's presidential pondering from two of the entertainment legend's “close friends.” The report comes after Winfrey's longtime partner, Stedman Graham, told the Los Angeles Times she “would absolutely” launch a presidential campaign.
And “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King, Winfrey's best friend, told the Times she thought the mogul's speech, which came after she became the first black woman to win the Cecil B. DeMille Award, was “incredible,” noting it gave her “goosebumps.”
While Trump has not yet chimed in on the development, he has had nothing but good things to say about Winfrey in the past:

By the way, where is @Oprah? Good question. 4 years ago she strongly supported Obama—now she is silent. Anyway, who cares, I adore Oprah.

If nothing else, it appears Trump has unlocked an era of celebrity presidential candidates. Only time will tell how well that goes.
