On Monday, President Donald Trump left Washington, D.C., to head to Nashville, Tennessee, where he will speak at the American Farm Bureau Federation's annual convention.
When Air Force One touched down in the Music City, the president was greeted with clouds and pouring rain.
However, there were also supporters awaiting his arrival on the tarmac, and despite the inclement weather, Trump ventured off course toward the crowd to shake hands.
He greeted the people farthest from Air Force One first.
Then he slowly worked his way toward the middle.
He eventually reached a group of service members. At one point, he leaned in to have a conversation with one member of the military.
When he reached the end of the line, he gave a big wave and a thumbs up to people who were farther back.
Finally, Trump returned to his scheduled course and was escorted to his motorcade to the sound of cheers from attendees.
Shortly before he arrived, the president tweeted that he “can't wait to be back in the amazing state of Tennessee.”
