Moments after the White House authorized the release of the controversial memo drafted by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), President Donald Trump popped off about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Many Republicans believe the memo reveals political bias and surveillance abuses by the FBI in its investigation of former Trump campaign associate Carter Page.

Reporters asked the president for his thoughts on the memo Friday. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump described the findings “a disgrace,” adding, “People should be ashamed of themselves and much worse than that.”

“You figure that one out,” Trump shot back after journalists asked him if he still has faith in Rosenstein.

Both Democrats and top officials within the FBI — including Trump-appointed Director Christopher Wray — have voiced concerns about the accuracy of the GOP-crafted memo.
