Actor Michael Keaton thinks Republicans are “weak disgusting cowards.”

The Hollywood star made his declaration in an Instagram post one day after a 19-year-old gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, killing 17 people.

He wrote: “NRA/Republicans-‘too soon’ to talk about gun violence. Well, for 20 first graders [at] Sandy Hook (and all the others) it’s just a little ‘too late’. You weak disgusting cowards in Congress.”

Keaton is not alone in his criticism of Republicans. Others, such as Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, are calling for increased gun control.

Israel said Thursday lawmakers “will not get re-elected in Broward County” if they don’t back gun control legislation in the aftermath of Wednesday’s shooting.
