On Saturday, President Donald Trump blasted Democrats who are calling for gun control in the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that has left 17 people dead.
In a tweet, Trump asked why they didn't enact strict gun control laws when they controlled the House, the Senate, and the White House if they cared so much about it:
Just like they don’t want to solve the DACA problem, why didn’t the Democrats pass gun control legislation when they had both the House & Senate during the Obama Administration. Because they didn’t want to, and now they just talk!

He also called out the FBI for not paying attention to the warnings they were given about suspected shooter Nikolas Cruz:
Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!

On Friday, the FBI admitted they received tips on Cruz as recently as January.
“We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the [Public Access Line] on January 5,” they said in a statement. “The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.”
