Ben Shapiro retweeted a user on Tuesday proposing a debate between him and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

Austin Fletcher, a conservative YouTuber, wrote that the goal of the debate would be to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Shapiro showed his approval by retweeting Fletcher’s tweet.

GOAL: Raise $500,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Shapiro has been a harsh critic of Kimmel’s statements about health care and gun control. He also accused Kimmel of using the story about his daughter as a “political tool in order to push a political agenda” while talking about federal funding for health care.

There was a huge amount of support for the debate from other users, with one bringing up Kimmel’s comments calling into question the intelligence of conservatives:

There hasn’t been any word on whether or not a debate will actually happen, but many are hoping Kimmel will step up and do it for a good cause.
