After nearly three weeks of U.S.-Israeli military action against Iran under Operation Epic Fury, a fresh Rasmussen Reports survey shows a clear majority of Americans believe the mission is working. Sixty-one percent of likely voters say the operation has been successful so far, with 35 percent going even further and calling it “very successful.”

That’s not a narrow margin. That’s a decisive signal.

Even more striking is how closely Americans are paying attention. A massive 81 percent say they’ve been following developments, including nearly half who report tracking the situation “very closely.” Among that highly engaged group, support climbs even higher to 66 percent.

But here’s where the narrative really starts to crack.

Despite repeated claims of fractures within Trump’s base, the polling tells a completely different story. Republican support is overwhelming — 81 percent say the operation has been successful. Among unaffiliated voters, a solid 56 percent agree. Democrats come in lower at 45 percent, but still represent a significant share backing the effort.

Among 2024 voters, the divide sharpens. A commanding 83 percent of Trump voters say the operation is succeeding, compared to 40 percent of Kamala Harris voters.

And even mainstream outlets are being forced to acknowledge it.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten didn’t mince words during a recent segment, pointing to numbers showing 89 percent approval for the Iran action among the MAGA base. Just 9 percent disapprove.

“Tremendously popular,” Enten said.

Other polls reinforce the trend. An Economist/YouGov survey found 87 percent of MAGA supporters approve of Trump’s handling of Iran. Some surveys push that number even higher — into the 90s.

The support doesn’t stop at general approval. When voters are asked directly about the decision to use military force, the backing remains strong.

A McLaughlin & Associates poll shows 51 percent of likely voters approve of Trump’s move to target Iran’s nuclear missile program and its terror network, compared to 41 percent who oppose it. When voters are reminded of Iran’s long history of hostility toward the United States, support jumps to 57 percent.

Even among independents, 46 percent say the action was necessary, edging out the 40 percent who disagree.

Among Republican congressional voters, support skyrockets to 87 percent. Even undecided voters break in favor, 51 percent to 29 percent.

Meanwhile, opinion writers across outlets are beginning to admit what the data has been showing for weeks. From Al Jazeera to the Wall Street Journal, analysts are pointing out that the supposed “MAGA split” over Iran simply isn’t backed by evidence.

Poll after poll tells the same story: Trump’s base is not just holding — it’s unified.

As Operation Epic Fury enters its third week, the numbers remain consistent. Strong Republican support. Dominant backing from Trump voters. And a clear majority of Americans saying the mission is succeeding.

The gap between perception and reality is growing wider — and the polling is making it harder to ignore.
