Kellyanne Conway Says 'We Can't Have' People Uniting Against Trump

As Donald Trump continues his all-out assault on First Amendment rights, and those of Black people, in particular, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is doing her level best to deliver heavy-handed propaganda on his behalf.

During an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Conway continued to spout the lie that Trump's unconstitutional demand for free speech firings is actually a defense of the principles that our flag stands for, but also added a characteristically ominous Kellyanne touch, declaring that widespread opposition to Trump cannot be tolerated:

“This is about principles. This is not about politics. This is about what binds us as a nation. We can't have what binds us as a nation animus toward Donald Trump by those who get a megaphone every single day, particularly on TV shows and in print.”

That's an interesting juxtaposition, claiming this is about “principles” and not “politics,” then demanding an end to “animus” toward Trump. Conway has previously called for the firings of journalists for criticizing Trump, and for journalists to be “compelled” to cover Trump more positively.

Unfortunately for Trump and Conway, it's going to take more than their constantly running mouths to silence critics, but unfortunately for us, Trump has a spineless Republican Congress in his corner.
