It’s not every day the panel of ABC’s “The View” agrees with a Republican.

But that’s just what happened on Thursday’s show when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) was called “the voice of reason” in her fight got healthcare while the country is in the midst of a government shutdown, according to Mediaite.

“It is now day nine of the government shutdown,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg said. “Tensions are high in the capital. People are just losing it. There have been several clashes of congressmen and people who are blaming each other, and a very surprising voice of reason in all of this.”

A video was then shown of lawmakers arguing in the Capitol. Am the end, Greene said, “Let’s take off our Democrat Jerseys. Let’s take off our Republican Jerseys, and we should do something responsible for the American people and fix this.”

Goldberg lauded Greene for “responding to her constituents.”

“She seems to be the only one responding to her constituents, because her constituents are saying, ‘Excuse me, we are being affected by what’s happening here.’” Goldberg said. “And, you know, she’s in not a rich district. She’s in a poor district, and her people said, ‘This is affecting us. Either you get us some help, or we’re going to put you out. This is your job,’ and she is the — she is the voice of reason here. What the hell is going on?”

Cohost Joy Behar added how the healthcare situation hits home got Greene.

“She also has a couple of kids who need — the insurance premiums are going up, so it’s very personal to her,” Behar said.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, the sole Republican on the panel, spoke of the irony that they agree with Greene.

“It’s a dark day when Marjorie Taylor Greene is the voice of reason,” she said as the audience laughed. “But you know what they say about a blind squirrel, so I completely agree with her.”

“No way! I’ve never heard what they say about a blind squirrel!” Goldberg said.

“A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then,” Griffin responded.
