Clarence Thomas Slams Joe Biden, Democrats for Handling of His Confirmation Hearings

Justice Clarence Thomas blasted former Vice President Joe Biden over his role in leading the 1991 confirmation process.

In a documentary titled “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words,” set to be released in 2020, Thomas criticized Biden for how he managed his confirmation hearings.

He denies Anita Hill’s allegations of sexual harassment and says Biden and Senate Democrats on the Judiciary Committee were trying to “get rid of me.”

“Do I have like stupid written on the back of my shirt? I mean, come on. We know what this is all about. People should just tell the truth: ‘This is the wrong black guy; he has to be destroyed.’ Just say it. Then now we’re at least honest with each other. The idea was to get rid of me. And then, after I was there, it was to undermine me.”

Thomas didn’t mention Biden by name, but the filmmakers asked him about Biden’s line of questioning about “natural law,” he says that he felt Biden was trying to get him to share his views on abortion.

“I have no idea what he was talking about. I understood what he was trying to do. I didn’t really appreciate it. Natural law was nothing more than a way of tricking me into talking about abortion.”

Thomas said that Democrats were focused on his abortion views, and “your life didn’t matter.”

“Most of my opponents on the judiciary committee cared about only one thing: How would I rule on abortion rights. You really didn’t matter, and your life didn’t matter. What mattered is what they wanted and what they wanted was this particular issue.”

He continues to say that for most of his life he thought he would be targeted by “the bigot in the pickup truck; it’s gonna be the Klansmen; it’s gonna be the rural sheriff,” but after his experience, he says “the modern-day liberal” is the biggest threat to someone’s career and reputation.

“But it turned out that through all of that, ultimately the biggest impediment was the modern-day liberal. They were the ones who would discount all those things because they have one issue or because they have the power to caricature you.”

The documentary’s filmmakers say the film is a chance for Thomas to share his story “truly and fully, without cover-ups or distortions.”

Morte, “Guaranteed if it’s a female nominee they will dredge up a few of the boys she babysat as an adolescent and report how the evil succubus purposely inserted herself into their dreams so as to sexually abuse them.” That would be an EXCELLENT strategy for Trump to use. By nominating a female (or maybe one who believes she is) they bypass that whole “sexism” thing. I doubt there are any qualified gender-dysmorphics available, but I DO wish there were. Just watching the contortions due to multiple “intersections” would be hilarious, especially if they also believed they were trans-racial. So… Read more »

Thomas and Kavanagh were just practice runs. Consider the hysteria, dramatics, and outright lies that will occur if RBG takes a final recess while Trump can still nominate.

Sounds like Justice Thomas – a Black man – set the stage for a White Justice Kavanaugh; but using a paid perverted VP liar with an agenda back then rather than paid female liars with an agenda more recently. What will the next Trump appointee to the SCOTUS meet with? Another HATE-for-Trump filled agenda?
