President Donald Trump had a short response when asked about Michael Avenatti’s domestic abuse allegations.

Avenatti is one of Trump’s most outspoken critics and is the lawyer for adult film star Stormy Daniels. He was recently arrested for what TMZ reported as domestic abuse.

Although the lawyer denies the allegations, Trump wished Avenatti the best when responding to the news.

“I wish him the best of luck,” said Trump with a smile.

During a press conference, Avenatti denied the claims and said he is confident he will be cleared of all charges.

“I never will strike a woman. I have been an advocate for women’s rights my entire career, and I’m going to continue to be an advocate. I am not going to be intimidated from stopping what I am doing. I am a father to two beautiful, smart daughters. I would never disrespect them by touching a woman inappropriately or striking a woman. I am looking forward to a full investigation at which point I am confident that I will be fully exonerated.”

However, some are drawing similarities between his denials and those of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process.

Avenatti had represented Kavanaugh accusers whose stories were eventually found to be false.

There are no conclusive reports on whether the abuse allegations are true, but the woman involved has filed for a restraining order against Avenatti.

Michael Avenetti, what have you done? For 15 minutes of fame, you bargained with Lucifer and you lost everything … credibility, career, finances, looks, you lost it all. You mentioned you would never hit a woman, what do you think you did to your mother with all of this chicanery? Pummeling her face would not have hurt her as much. You will pay dearly for what you did to your mother!
