Trump Claims Omar’s Controversial Political Remarks Could Hand Him a Victory in Her Home State

President Donald Trump thinks the controversial statements made by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) could be enough to secure him a victory in her home state of Minnesota in 2020.

The last time a Republican presidential candidate won in Minnesota was former President Richard Nixon in 1972. Minnesota was the only state in the union to not vote for former President Ronald Reagan 1984. Instead, they backed Walter Mondale, who was from the state.

Although Republicans have had an uphill battle in the state, Trump came close to defeating then-candidate Hillary Clinton, only losing the state by just 1.5% or around 44,000 votes.

He believes that Omar could be the edge he needs to win the state. In a tweet posted Tuesday morning, Trump wrote, “In 2016 I almost won Minnesota. In 2020, because of America hating anti-Semite Rep. Omar, [and] the fact that Minnesota is having its best economic year ever, I will win the State!”

Trump referenced Omar’s continued controversy surrounding comments she made that were considered by many to be anti-Semitic. She accused those in Congress who support Israel of having duel loyalty, as well as claiming that support for the Jewish state is “all about the Benjamins.”

Both of these claims would fall under the criteria of an anti-Semitic remark, as defined by the State Department.

Trump also tied Omar to her so-called “squad” of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.).

The president recently landed in hot water for his comments that called for members of Congress to “go back” to other counties. The tweet clearly referenced the “squad,” but only Omar was born outside the United States, leaving many to claim Trump’s remark was racist.

Still, Trump and members of his administration have made it clear they will not lay off the freshmen congresswomen, with Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway claiming they must be countered.

It’s your party philly that has caused your confusion. It is their STANDARD comeback to anybody who disagrees with them. Why don’t you spend some time helping your party clear up the confusion they have caused you.

We really need to identify what the word RACIST means?

Let’s review Trump’s prognostic claims: Mexico will pay for the wall. Red Wave in 2018. The tax cuts will pay for themselves. With the tax cuts, “we will see GDP growth of 4, 5, maybe 6%.” Obamacare will be repealed on his first day in office. China will be declared a currency manipulator on his first day. Malenia will hold a press conference in 2 weeks to discuss her employment record when she was in America under visitor visa status. He would be releasing his 2015 taxes when the audit was over. After the 2018 Singapore summit, Trump claimed North… Read more »

Tom Fitton at Judicial Watch (Conservative Government Watchdog Group in D.C.) is reporting Ilhan Omar is now under investigation by his group for (1) immigration fraud, (2) marriage fraud and (3) tax fraud. JW will forward the results of their investigation to Congress; but, maybe she’d want to take a sudden and permanent vacation to Somolia to avoid prosecution here.

As a child of immigrants I am very aware of the ingratitude and contempt shown by Omar, Tlaib, and the other Marxist Mean Girls. While sending them back is not possible, I wonder if they understand how different their lives would be outside of America. For one they would not hold postitions of meaningful power. Somalia is rated among the worst 5 places to be a woman. That’s the UN and the words of their own Minister of Women (who herself must be escorted by armed guards). Murder, rape, female genital mutilation, starvation are literally day by day conditions. Tlaib… Read more »

IF the red-blooded AMERICAN voter decides by 2020 the Commie Quad Squad needs to be replaced with four Republican candidates, then Trump may just have a good chance of winning MN and MI. I doubt any Republican POTUS candidate could win NY or MA due to the Dems strangle hold on what passes for “political power”.
